I’ve had this hat since Christmas, trying to decide whether to keep it or return it.
“All those pom poms!”
Today I needed to go outside to my mailbox. it’s 25 degrees, very windy chill factor, 4:30pm and damp ish. I’m in my 70’s and arthritic. Badly needed a warm hat today, not just a hood. Reluctantly snipped off the tags and removed the plastic inside this Penelope Peruvian hat, and pulled it on and tied the strings.
After getting to the mailbox and realizing my ears were nice and warm, along with my head and the rest of me…. Well, I was SOLD on this very fine and comfortable, warm and rather cute even, hat from Australia. Hurray. A win. Have tried beanie hats for decades and they all slide up and expose my ears after a few steps outdoors. No longer. This one’s a jewel. A keeper! Thanks for making such a fine headcover ❤️🥰❤️
I love the looks of the hat, so cute! However only a small part of the hat is lined, and not the ear flaps either, so not as warm as I had hoped when I was walking at 37 degrees outside.
Love it!! I’ve a lot of long, thick hair and beanies always slide up over my ears and fall off. To keep one on, I often have to pull it down and nearly cover my eyebrows!
Enter this wonderful Peruvian hat. Like a beanie’s warmth and feel but with these fabulous real fur earmuffs and cute ties with pom-poms. Perfect cold weather solution. In the American midwestern state of Missouri where it can get very cold and windy all day, it’s my solution to warming up frozen face and ears. I can pull up my parka hood and be impenetrable 👍🏻
