Australian Merino Wool
Here at Kooringal, we love Australian Merino wool. It is easily one of our favourite materials, not only because it looks great, but it is also recyclable, renewable, heat and water-resistant, has high retention and is 100% natural.
Australian Merino wool is known as one of the highest quality of wool in the world, its fine fibres, softness, retention, and resilience making it ideal for hats for all seasons.

Raffia Straw
Raffia Palm Trees are the source for Raffia Straw and the main sourcing area is Madagascar.
We love designing with raffia straw as it’s a very sustainable, material and has strong fibers that is very flexible and allow for timeless design solutions and naturally has a style that only raffia straw can create.
Raffia is also one of the most durable materials available and with a quality that lasts.
